Peter McNeil

Born in Brooklyn and based in Charlotte, Peter McNeil brings a storyteller’s eye to ordinary places and the complicated people who inhabit them.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Peter worked as a letter carrier in New York. His experience at Cooper Postal Station helped inspire the Postal project, which began as a screenplay before becoming a novel.

His literary influences include Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Terry McMillan; his love of storytelling also grew through the films of Spike Lee.
